Our two favorite neighborhoods to go trick-or-treating in the city are Morningside and Aspinwall.  Both are relatively flat with grid-like streets that allow you to hit a bunch of houses quite easily.  Traffic is minimal, allowing for a safe experience.  Also, both neighborhoods get very festive about Halloween.  Most homes give out candy and many decorate their houses elaborately.  This year, the official trick-or-treating hours for the City of Pittsburgh are from 5:30-7:30 pm on Thursday, October 31, 2013.  Here’s trick-or-treating information for other local boroughs (source: WTAE).  In addition, I have included a listing of alternative trick-or-treating opportunities below it.
