Snowflake Festival at Soergel’s Orchard

Ride the Snowflake Express, drink hot chocolate, watch ice carving demonstrations, and take a horsedrawn carriage ride around the grounds.  Santa and his elves will arrive via horse-drawn sleigh at 6 pm.

Downtown Pittsburgh Holiday Events

Downtown Pittsburgh has a variety of events during the holiday seasons, especially on Saturdays.  On this particular day of the week, there are Free Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides from 11-8pm and a Fifth Avenue Place Free Holly Trolley from 11-5pm.  In addition, there are a variety of ongoing attractions including The Rink at PPG Place“Spirit of Giving Around the World” Exhibit in the Wintergarden at PPG Place, and The Pittsburgh Creche.

Breakfast with Santa at St. Raphael’s School

Come have a pancake breakfast with Santa at St. Raphael School in Morningside! Santa will be there for pictures and there will be a craft room (purchase a craft passport for $3 to make three different Christmas crafts).

Nationality Rooms Holiday Open House at the Cathedral of Learning

The Nationality Rooms will be decorated for the holidays and guides will be dressed in ethnic dress, describing the rooms’ appearances and customs.  There are ethnic food selections for purchase in the Commons Room as well as ethnic dance performances every 15 minutes throughout the day.

Emmanuel Christian Preschool’s Santa’s Village

A preschool fundraiser and fun afternoon for kids!  There will be visits with Santa, Mrs. Clauses Kitchen where kids will decorate cookies, a Reindeer barn, Elf Academy, Toy Workshop, Letters to Santa, hot cocoa, games, crafts, and storytelling.
