Hamilton Church Preschool Movie Night: Despicable Me

Hamilton Church Preschool is having their monthly free movie night.  This time they’ll be showing Despicable Me!  Refreshments are available for purchase.  You do not need to be a member of the preschool to participate in this event.

The Winter Festival of Lights at Oglebay Resort

This nationally-renowned holiday light display covers more than 300 acres over a six-mile drive throughout the resort.

Times: Thursdays-Sundays until 1opm and Fridays Saturdays until 11pm

Cost: A per car donation is requested and is valid for the entire festival season

Polar Bear Birthday Party at the Pittsburgh Zoo

Celebrate the Pittsburgh Zoo’s polar bears at a special birthday celebration.  Enjoy cake, do crafts, and listen to entertainment.

Saturday Crafternoons at Assemble

This week at “Crafternoons”, children will be working with local journalist Eric Liji to “run a community newsroom at Assemble. A mysterious event will require the services of kid reporters, who will investigate the incident and publish a newspaper of their findings.”  Sounds cool! For children aged 5-10

“Light Up the Wall” in Aspinwall’s Business District

Get in the holiday spirit in Aspinwall’s business district by listening to Christmas music, eating FREE Christmas cookies, visiting with Santa, participating in a Christmas Fairy Hunt, and enjoying fireworks at 6pm!

Sunday: November 17

Pittsburgh International Children’s Theater Production of “A Time for Fun” by Handmade Theater

A St. Petersburg troupe create a magical world of trains, sailboats, ticking clocks, clocks of birds, and lots more.  Interesting lighting design and interlocked limbs create recognizable shapes and words.  Sounds really interesting!  If you can’t make it this weekend, there are more performances at various locations throughout the city during the next week, too!

Time: 2pm

Cost: $9.50/person online.  Definitely buy your tickets in advance!

Pine Holiday Dazzle

This event will have Santa and his elves, carriage rides, crafts, ice carving, a parade, tree lighting, a holiday movie, a bonfire with marshmallows, musical entertainment, and fireworks.
